Curriculum excellence – not an act but a habit!

Confirmed keynote speakers Rob Carpenter, Sonia Blandford and Nicholas Garrick.

On Wednesday 16 January Ofsted published their public consultation on the proposed new education inspection framework on the gov.uk website which is open until 5 April.

The information published on the Ofsted engagement and information hub included the following statement.

Inspection is in essence a professional dialogue between inspectors and a provider. We want to make sure those conversations are about what matters to young people: the substance of their education. What are they being taught? How well are they being taught it? And how is it setting them up to succeed at the next stage? So the revised framework will focus on what young people learn through the curriculum, rather than depending on data.

Our conference this year will focus on key issues around the curriculum.

We will explore:

  • intelligent, school-led curriculum design and ethical leadership in times of change;

  • pupil premium best practice rationale and how content and impact of the curriculum can result in achievement for all pupils and

  • how the curriculum is constructed and how leaders assess the impact beyond the data.

There is a flyer attached with further information and details on how to book on to the conference.
