One of the major challenges for students learning English as an additional language is developing a command of the more formal academic language essential for success across the curriculum.

Speakers at the conference will advocate that securing a whole school approach to teaching academic language is essential and will demonstrate how to identify and explicitly teach academic language across all subjects.

Be inspired by our speakers, build your network of colleagues and hear about the importance of explicitly teaching the language for curriculum learning in secondary schools.

The event is open to all secondary Senior School leaders, Subject Leaders, EAL and Inclusion Leaders, Language Across the Curriculum Leaders, Subject Teachers, Heads of Year, Teaching Assistants and Primary Yr 6 Teachers from maintained schools, academies and independent schools.
