Brilliant Books Twilight Series

‘Books make great gifts because they have whole worlds inside of them.’ Neil Gaiman

The world we present to children can be influenced hugely by our choice of books. If you take a look at the books in your classroom, what sort of world are they presenting? Do they provide for a range of interests? What subtle messages are they portraying? Do they depict modern-day Britain and challenge stereotypes? Do they raise questions, promote thinking, and encourage discussion? Can all children see themselves and their lives reflected in their pages?

This series of twilights aims to provide all teachers with book suggestions and recommendations that can help to address some of these key questions, whilst at the same time also just being ‘brilliant books’ to read and share.
