The challenges of trying to maintain a work-life balance as a busy headteacher are difficult. Our headteacher conference will give you the opportunity to renew your energy, reflect, share experiences and support each other to promote your personal wellbeing.

This year’s conference ‘culture eats strategy for breakfast’ will give you the opportunity to reflect on the importance of culture and how this impacts on leadership and school improvement. Take the opportunity to be inspired by keynote speakers and colleagues at our conference on 5 and 6 March.

Confirmed keynote speakers are:

  • Dame Alison Peacock - CEO of the Chartered College of Teaching will set the context providing our opening keynote on evidence informed practice.
  • Greg Botrill - author of 'Can I go and play now?' will focus on developing a culture using the 3M system to teach alongside children's play to develop best practice in early years.
  • Chris Moyse - acclaimed trainer and consultant with 30 years experience in education as a teacher, head of PE and Teaching and Learning Consultant - he is now Head of Staff Development at Bridgwater College Trust.
  • Dr. Kulwarn Atwal headteacher and author of 'The Thinking School' will talk about how to build a dynamic learning community for learners and teachers.

Delegates attending last year’s conference said that it was a "Wonderful two days spent with some amazing colleagues", "great to get out of school for some headspace and always a pleasure to network with colleagues" and "Yet again a brilliant organised, inspiring conference with plenty of time for networking, professional discussion and fun!"
