Tom Holloway from the Primary Science Trust will lead the sessions.


We are keen to reconnect our science leaders and make science exciting again in school for both teaching staff and pupils.


These two-hour online sessions will focus on updates and gives science leaders a place to discuss their own school science.


It will also support with answering some key questions including:



  • How do we structure the science curriculum to enable children to retain long term?

  • How do we support teachers to enable pupils to retain science knowledge long term?

  • How should we assess learning in science?

  • How do we support the teaching of working scientifically?


There will be a practical element to all the sessions as well!


Delegates will be contacted 3 days before the session with details of how to access the online training, which will be sent via a link to the email address on your CPD Online account. Please ensure that the person booked is the person attending as they will receive all advance resources and the link for the day. Please ensure the email address the account is registered with is correct and note that the delegates must announce themselves at the beginning of the session by confirming their name and school in the group chat.

Aims

  • To support science leaders with being up to date with the national and local updates and issues within science.

  • To support science leaders to have a place to discuss science with other science leaders.

  • Time to ask questions.

  • To support leaders with monitoring, action planning and reviewing science in school.
