Event Description | This is a five-session online course supporting both English and maths core subject leaders in their role of monitoring improvement within their subject in their school. All sessions will be two hours long, spread out across the school year, with gap tasks in between. These sessions will focus on the core aspects of leadership and management through a deep dive approach. Below is a summary of each session Session 1: Understanding your role in monitoring and evaluating include your role in an Ofsted inspections. Session 2: Telling the story of your curriculum - Linking whole school vision with subject vision, raising the profile of your subject, cultural capital, intent, implementation and impact. Session 3: Telling the story of the data - A robust approach to teacher assessment including, triangulation of evidence – work scrutiny and planning, pupil voice, moderation Session 4: Effective intervention, supporting SEND pupils and good provision in EYFS, an understanding of early reading and early maths. Session 5: CPD and evaluating impact - Review, action planning and next steps. It will also support with answering some key questions including: How do we structure our subject curriculum to enable children to retain long term? Delegates will be contacted three days before the session with details of how to access the online training, which will be sent via a link to the email address on your CPD Online account.
