This course is for Stroud Association schools only. 

Justine Gregory will leads these sessions. To ensure maximum impact, it is recommended that you attend both meetings. Justine will use your ideas to help inform the agenda for the subsequent meeting, ensuring that sessions are tailored to meet the needs of the group.

Over the two half-day sessions we will explore how to support children to develop their language and communication and literacy skills.

Delegates will be contacted three days before the session with details of how to access the online training, which will be sent via a link to the email address on your CPD Online account. Please ensure that the email address you have registered with is correct. If it needs changing this can be done via your CPD Online account or please contact the Training Admin Team on 01454 863183. Only the actual delegate booked onto the course will be able to participate and must announce themselves by confirming their name and school in the group chat.

By the end of the sessions we will:

• have had the opportunity to explore the characteristics of quality first provision for the development of speaking, listening, reading and writing skills in the early years as set out in the new EYFS Framework and the revised Development Matters;


• have reflected upon how we can facilitate engaging learning opportunities to support the development of CLL skills in an Early Years setting;


• have had the opportunity to share good practice with EYFS colleagues from other schools and settings;


• have reflected upon our current provision;


• have identified personal next steps for professional development.
