Cancellation Policy

Course cancellation by applicant

This cancellation policy applies to any applicant who cannot attend or who does not arrive for an event for which a confirmed place has been allocated.

  • All cancellations must be made through CPD Online and received at least 4 working days before the start of the event. For example: if the course you wish to cancel is on Tuesday, a written notice (by e-mail, fax or post) should reach the Integra service on Wednesday of the week before. In this case no charge will be made.
  • All cancellations received less than 4 working days before the event start date will be charged at full cost unless the place is taken by another colleague. If you send a substitute to take a pre-confirmed place you must register the substitute online. If changing the delegate within four days of the event start date, you must email ststraining@southglos.gov.uk
  • If an applicant is unable to attend due to illness they must be able to provide a valid doctor's certificate, otherwise their organisation will be charged a non-attendance fee.
  • Cases of non-attendance due to bereavement, special leave, or having to attend court in a professional capacity will be considered.
  • Individuals/organisations will be invoiced for the full event fees if their staff fails to attend or give less than 4 working days notice. In the case of free courses a charge will be made. See table below.

Cancellations cannot be made over the phone.

Course cancellation by course organisers

In the event that a course has to be cancelled, a minimum of 10 working days notice of cancellation will be given to participants. If late cancellations affect the viability of the course, participants will be informed by email as soon as possible.

In the case of last minute unforeseen circumstances i.e. bad weather conditions or tutor illness, delegates will be notified by email as soon as the circumstance is known where possible. The venue will also be notified of the situation.

In the case of course cancellation by the organisers, participants will not be charged, and the organisers will try to ensure that participants are sent information about equivalent courses or events as soon as possible.
