From 1st October 2017, schools are able to obtain, without a prescription, an emergency adrenalin auto injector (AAI) device. The spare AAI can be used in an emergency situation on a pupil who’s own prescribed AAI cannot be administered because it is not available or not working.
Schools who hold AAI’s need to ensure that staff have received appropriate training and this 2 hour awareness course will help staff gain a greater understanding of the cause and recognition of an anaphylactic shock along with treatment and management of such a situation.

This training presents an opportunity to develop science teaching across the primary age range. The session will clarify curriculum expectations, explore how to create a clear teaching sequence for science and also develop ideas for teaching the ‘Working Scientifically’ skills. We will look at how to build evidence for accurate assessment, share good practice and explore creative teaching ideas.

There have been a number of changes to the Writing Interim Framework for 2018. The exemplification
materials have been updated to reflect these and new STA materials will be available in the spring term.  

This twilight will provide an overview of the changes at all three standards, supporting teachers and senior leaders to ensure that they have an accurate interpretation of the assessment criteria and are able to make appropriate judgements based on the evidence available.

This four day course is a very practical, hands-on introduction to timetabling. It will lead colleagues who are new, or relatively new, through the whole process of timetabling and covers:

• resourcing


• devising the most appropriate curriculum structure and staffing


• getting information from departments


• entering all data into the computer program


• constructing the timetable; analysing and scheduling


• producing printed timetables.
