This session will concentrate on examining the staff variances thrown up when producing a budget monitoring report.

There are many things that can initially result in large variances against staffing. Anticipated pay rises, maternity, leave without pay, overtime are all areas that need manual adjustments calculated to ensure your expected outturn is accurate.

This session will take you through how to identify & explain genuine variances and how & why adjustments need to be made.

The nationally established Emotional Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA) course trains skilled teaching assistants to deliver interventions for emotionally vulnerable pupils. Trainee ELSAs attend 6 full training days and subsequently carry out supervised practice over the course of the year leading to ELSA certification.
