This year we are running one hour twilight online maths subject leader briefings.

This meeting will support maths leaders with keeping up to date with the latest national and local news in the mathematics world. It will enable maths leaders to be fully aware of the latest research, national reports and guidance as well as any aspects of statutory assessment that they may be involved in for 2020-21 cycle.

This half day course will support all year 2 teachers in developing their subject knowledge with a focus on mathematics linked to the assessment frameworks. We will support you to develop your teaching sequence to ensure that you provide opportunities for children to demonstrate that they meet the TA frameworks for mathematics. 

We will look at resources to support your teaching including manipulatives, models and images.

This two session online course will support teachers in developing their subject knowledge with a focus on mathematical gaps from year 5 and how to address them. We will support you to develop your teaching sequence to ensure that you provide opportunities for children to demonstrate that they meet the expectations for mathematics.

Session 1 will focus on:

• Securing place value, mental and written calculation


• Discussion on boosters and useful resources


• An analysis of the test papers
