Managing Child Protection Disciplinary Allegations and the role of the LADO
This is a 1 session course

The ability to manage difficult child protection, disciplinary allegations is crucial to the provision of safeguarding within the school/academy setting. On this course, you will learn how to manage these difficult situations, and ensure that each occasion is dealt with to the minimise risk . The legal duty on schools to refer cases to the Disclosure and Barring Service will also be explored, along with their expectations. The South Gloucestershire LADO, Tina Wilson, will also be in attendance to provide you with further insight into this key area.

Autism Bites - Demand avoidance in autism
This is a 1 session course

This course takes an introductory look at how some autistic children and young people can present with severe anxiety, demand avoidance and distressed behaviours. It is appropriate for any colleague who is interested in autism.

Cost centres can be used in CIVICA to record transactions for specific areas of income or expenditure, for example pupil premium, PE Grant, SEND or extended services. With the largest percentage of every schools’ expenditure being on staffing costs, it is essential that all schools undertake regular payroll reconciliations. A good payroll reconciliation will be a thorough check of expected employee costs per month to actual employee costs.
