Maths Mathematical Automaticity Project: Supporting all learners to acquire, manipulate and apply mathematical facts
This is a 4 session course

This year we are running a school-based maths project on mathematical automaticity for a group of 8 to 10 schools. Schools need to be based in Bristol, Bath, Gloucestershire or South Gloucestershire as part of the project includes two bespoke visits.

Access Education Finance & Budgeting Training (South Gloucestershire Maintained Schools Only)
This is a 1 session course

This session is aimed at new starters and will be broken down into two areas:



  • Access Education Finance - Navigation of the system, purchasing, sales, processing invoices and how to use the online guidance.

  • Access Education Budgeting - Navigation of the system, adding in new starters, amending staff contracts, updating income and expenditure in your budget.

Preparing for Revised Budgets - South Gloucestershire Maintained Schools Only
This is a 1 session course

Revised budget visits take place during October and November with submission to Corporate Finance due by 30 November each year. As part of your subscribed service, your SFO prepares and reconciles information to ensure your data is correct and your visit is efficient.


This session will cover the preparation your SFO completes, how to complete the revised budget checklist (sent to all schools in late September) and how you can prepare beforehand to assist and ensure your revised budget submission is accurate, achievable and that variances can be explained.

Mediated Learning Support Assistant/Approach (MeLSA) is a training and supervision programme designed by educational psychologists to build the capacity of schools to support skilled and independent learning.
