This is a 1 session course

Civica is the accounting software used by South Glos Council. This session will take users through the General Ledger and Purchasing side of the system.


We will cover:



  • how to log in

  • how to save ‘favourites’

  • how to run a high-level / 3-year high-level accounting enquiry

  • how to search for a creditor invoice / transaction including payments

  • how to drill down into transactions for further information

Managing Child Protection Disciplinary Allegations and the role of the LADO
This is a 1 session course

The ability to manage difficult child protection, disciplinary allegations is crucial to the provision of safeguarding within the school/academy setting. On this course, you will learn how to manage these difficult situations, and ensure that each occasion is dealt with to the minimise risk . The legal duty on schools to refer cases to the Disclosure and Barring Service will also be explored, along with their expectations. The South Gloucestershire LADO, Tina Wilson, will also be in attendance to provide you with further insight into this key area.

Online Pupil Science Investigation Day - The science all around you
This is a 1 session course

Tom Holloway from the Primary Science Trust will lead the day.


The morning will be taken up by four online demonstration science experiments for pupils to join in with and then follow up in the classrooms.

Essential Information: When booking, PLEASE indicate in 'Booking Requirements' how many classes for EYFS, Y1/2, Y3/4 and Y5/6, we only have space for 225 classes per online session. The cost is £50 per Infant or Junior place (£100 for primary schools) Delegates will be contacted the week before the session with details of how to access the online training, which will be sent via a link to the email address on your CPD Online account. Please ensure that the person you have booked is the right person to receive all advance resources and the link for the day. Please ensure the email address their account is registered with is correct. Please do not share the link with parents or use off of your school premises. All the resources needed for the event and key information for you to prepare in advance will be sent 2 weeks before the event.
