Primary Music Co-ordinators Network: Preparing for an Ofsted deep dive

This is the first event of our new Primary Music Co-ordinators Network. It is an opportunity for us to meet and share ideas, experiences and best practise. At this event, Mark Trego, our interim strategic lead, will also provide training and tips on how to prepare for a music deep dive.

Delivering the Curriculum - Reading fluency and comprehension
This is a 1 session course

This half day course is suitable for teachers in KS1 and KS2. Reading features throughout the new Ofsted Framework and many teachers are unsure of how to discretely teach the skills which are required to be a secure reader. Therefore, this course provides delegates the opportunity to explore a range of strategies to support the teaching of comprehension. The course will also help colleagues to structure guided or whole class reading sessions. There will be opportunies to share good practice and reflect on future changes to delegates' own teaching of reading.

Essential Information: All courses carrying 'Delivering the Curriculum' in their title cost £50 per half day session. All 10 sessions can be purchased at the reduced cost of £450 (final session is free)

SIMS Office User - Basic
This is a 1 session course
Some schools rely on just one person in the office to support and administer SIMS, so this course is ideal where your school wishes to spread the expertise or delegate specific processes in SIMS to other colleagues in the school's administration team.

SEN in SIMS .net
This is a 1 session course

The course consists of two separate sessions, am & pm - delegates should attend for the whole day.


The Special Education Needs (SEN) software in SIMS enables the SENCo to manage the recording of all aspects of the SEN process in accordance with the requirements of the code of practice, building on information already held in SIMS such as pupil addresses, contacts and academic information and also enables the recording of the details of external specialists and organisations.

The SENCo Book Club
This is a 1 session course

This occasional event will look at latest publication to discuss their implications. Our first virtual meeting will be on May 15th and will focus on EEF Special Needs in Mainstream Classrooms – Guidance Report


The report describes the five key evidence based recommendations and then illustrates how these could be used in your school using case studies, evaluation tools, and practical strategies- this is an important report and will be invaluable for head teachers and SENCOs.
