With the return of end of KS1 and KS2 statutory assessment in 2022, we are aware that there is a need to support headteachers and senior leaders with the statutory duties of teachers and leaders.

This twilight is for all senior leaders in schools to be make sure they are up to date with the statutory requirements for assessment for 2022.

This is the second of 4 sessions aimed to equip staff to understand what is meant by the term dyslexia and its implication for children’s learning and our teaching so that they can deliver high quality provision that meet the needs of dyslexic learners.

These twilight briefings are for senior leaders and subject leaders (no matter the subject). The briefings are being run in order to support subject leads in their role of monitoring improvement within their subject in their school. Throughout the course links will be made to the Ofsted Inspection Framework as well as the core aspects of leadership and management through a deep dive approach.

Due to popular demand this is a rerun of the course that ran on 25 November 2021.

With the return of end of KS1 statutory assessment in 2022, all Year 2 teachers will need to make a teacher assessment using the national teacher frameworks in reading, writing and maths.

There are 3 workshops in the course which focus on different aspects of expectations on schools to support school improvement and linked to the Education Inspection Framework. 

The course is open to schools who were last inspected between January 2017 to July 2017 or before. 

Schools and academies are invited to send three people to the first two sessions of this training which are face-to-face. We suggest these are headteacher, Chair of governors and another senior leader. The final session is online and additional subject leaders are invited to attend. 

This course is for Stroud Association Schools only. 

Justine Gregory will leads these sessions. To ensure maximum impact, it is recommended that you attend both meetings. Justine will use your ideas to help inform the agenda for the subsequent meeting, ensuring that sessions are tailored to meet the needs of the group.

The approach changed back in 2008 which gave clear guidance on how a part time teachers’ pay should be
calculated. STPCD recognised that all schools’ timetables are different and determined that a part time teachers’ pay should be calculated proportionately in relation to the teaching time of a full time teacher in the same school.

These surgeries provide an opportunity for teachers to discuss any pupils they would like support to assess. Year 6 teachers can bring along children's writing evidence and work alongside the LA moderator, who will provide advice and guidance about assessment and next steps in learning, as well as anything else that may be useful (such as planning ideas, text recommendations etc.)

Each session is on a 1:1 basis so only one person can book each place but schools may send two teachers if there is more than one teacher in Y6. Please add the name of any extra delegate into the booking r ...
