NQT - Understanding and managing challenging behaviour
This is a 1 session course

This course will give you an understanding of the reasons behind some behaviour problems and that it does not stand alone, but arises from some other need. It will look at how to identify and address some of these difficulties.
Advice and suggestions to work with children with challenging behaviour will be explored.

Essential Information: The cost for these NQT 2 hour sessions is £40 per booking but you can purchase all 6 sessions for £200 (the final session will not be charged)

AET Schools Programme - Making Sense of Autism
This is a 1 session course


This one and a half hour session is designed for school teams who would like to develop their awareness and understanding of autism.


The course is suitable for SENCos, teachers, teaching assistants lunchtime staff, senior leadership and governors.

AET Schools Programme - Progression Framework
This is a 1 session course


This 90 minute session is an introduction to the framework and how to use it. Hands on training to set learning goals, measure progress and map provision.

Timetabling Using Nova T6
This is a 4 session course

This four day course is a very practical, hands-on introduction to timetabling. It will lead colleagues who are new, or relatively new, through the whole process of timetabling and covers:



  • resourcing

  • devising the most appropriate curriculum structure and staffing

  • getting information from departments

  • entering all data into the computer program

  • constructing the timetable; analysing and scheduling

  • producing printed timetables.

This a two-day course originally approved and controlled by the National Childminders Association and the Pre-School Learning Alliance. Required by SureStart and the DFEE for those having the care of children up to the age of eight , is valid for children of all ages. This is a 1 session course

This one-day course meets the requirements of the HSE syllabus and covers the HSE Recommendations for training of an Appointed Person (the minimum requirement for first aid cover at work. Topics include CPR, dealing with an unconsciousness casualty, choking and Major Bleeding. The first of these three twilight sessions will cover the findings from
2018, changes and updates for 2019, key messages from the ARA for KS1, quick wins for evidence gathering.


The second session will look at effective year 2 moderation, use of tests, new exemplification for reading and maths. It will also share the LA approach to KS1 moderation visits.


The final session will look at final arrangements to moderation, some cross school moderation and quick wins.

Writing Moderation in Y6
