To ensure maximum impact, it is recommended that you attend the three meetings across the year. Your ideas will be used to help inform the agenda for the subsequent meeting, ensuring that sessions are tailored to meet the needs of the group.

At each meeting there will be time to ensure that the maths subject leaders are up to date with the key national andlocal information including Ofsted and DFE updates, data and assessment.

These surgeries provide an opportunity for teachers to discuss any pupils they would like support to assess. Year 6 teachers can bring along children's writing evidence and work alongside the LA moderator, who will provide advice and guidance about assessment and next steps in learning, as well as anything else that may be useful (such as planning ideas, text recommendations etc.)

Each session is on a 1:1 basis so only one person can book each place but schools may send two teachers if there is more than one teacher in Y6. Please add the name of any extra delegate into the booking r ...

With the return of end of KS2 statutory assessment in 2022, all Year 6 teachers will need to make a teacher assessment using the national teacher frameworks in writing, as well as administering the SATS for reading, maths and GPS.

The final teacher assessment at the end of KS2 for 2022 also means the return of external moderation visits. This twilight is for all year 6 teachers to make sure they are up to date with the statutory requirements for assessment for 2022.

This is a five-session online course supporting both English and maths core subject leaders in their role of monitoring improvement within their subject in their school.

All sessions will be two hours long, spread out across the school year, with gap tasks in between.

These sessions will focus on the core aspects of leadership and management through a deep dive approach.

Story and video is a great way to re-engage leaners with aspects of maths they often struggle with such as fractions, multiplication and division. These are aspects of the curriculum that many learners will have missed over the past year.
