The course will cover SIMS Reporting to support day-to-day administration reporting procedures. This course is a full day to allow for plenty of time to practise. Please bring along any memory sticks as any reports you design on the day can be taken away with you and imported into your own SIMS system.

This one day will support anyone new or returning to Y2 teachers. The morning session will focus on writing, the afternoon on maths and reading. Each session will look at key subject knowledge, transition from y1, end
of year assessment and planning for progression.

Basic autism awareness training for all staff in all early years settings, whether or not they work directly with children with autism.

This course is an introduction to Excel 2010 covering basic concepts of spreadsheet use including basic functions and formatting.

This series of subject leader strategy meetings will be based around statutory guidance and Ofsted
updates and will help to develop leadership skills such as monitoring, supporting colleagues and raising the profile of science. We will consider a range of resources and strategies and will share and trial research-based practices
in order to develop teaching and learning in science across the primary age range.

Pupils with special educational needs or disabilities are likely to require additional or adapted support. This requires teachers to adapt teaching in a responsive way, including providing targeted support to pupils who are struggling whilst continuing to have high expectations of these children.

This course will explore how you ensure all children in your class are making progress. There will also be a discussion on how to identify children who require new content to be broken down for them.

Autism South West Parents and Carers conference.

This is our first conference specifically for parents/ carers of autistic children and young people and parents/carers who have an interest in autism. Although the conference has been designed for parents and carers anyone is welcome to attend, including professionals with an interest in autism. We would also like to warmly welcome any autistic people who wish to attend.

It's always vital for schools to network and ensure they are up-to-date. This forum for subject leaders provides information about national and local priorities, including the latest research and development; advice and guidance to support the strategic leadership of English and opportunities to share best practice amongst schools.  The focus for 2019-20 is likely to include the new Ofsted framework; oracy; reading and vulnerable groups, as well as the regular updates from DfE and STA and any emerging areas of interest.
