This resource brings together a range of free and easy to access online activities and learning for children of all ages, and is clearly grouped into subjects and topics, such as English and Maths. The NQT year is an exciting but challenging time for new teachers.  This will support NQTs to be successful in their induction year. The seminar will provide all the statutory information about what to expect from the year, share useful resources and proformas to support the induction process. The first part of this session will support delegates in developing their phonics subject knowledge. It will explore the progression of phonic skills across YR and Y1 and will consider what effective provision looks like in both year groups. The second part of the session, will consider how a ‘phonics first’ approach can support children to become confident and independent readers.
