Understanding the 8 Principles of Good Autism Practice and the AET Frameworks

This module introduces leadership teams to the Good Autism Practice Report to help them understand how the 8 principles of GAP emerged. The module has the option to look at a set of case studies that illustrate how settings have implemented the principles through adapting their practice. Last year, in conjunction with subject leaders, we wrote modified criteria to support writing assessment in non-statutory year groups as part of our Covid support for schools.

In response to requests from a considerable number of schools, we have now revised this so that the statements are fully aligned to the whole curriculum and can be used from 2022 onwards to support writing assessment and moderation. To support teachers, we are running a twilight session to share the rationale behind the criteria and explain how the statements should be used to support accurate assessment. ...
