Secondary Assessment and Data Best Practice Forum (EVENT FULL)
Course members will enhance their abilities to lead on assessment and data in their school. The course will ensure that delegates are up to date with the latest developments in data including RAISE online, FFT, Performance Tables, Data Dashboard, Sixth form PANDA and other data sources, in order that they can use this information to improve teaching and learning in their school. Secondary Geography Best Practice
Geography subject leaders and teachers will see and share best practice to strengthen strategic leadership skills and improve classroom delivery. Meetings will include discussion and practical sessions. A major focus will be on curriculum change, The Global Learning Programme and improving subject knowledge. Advice will be given on promoting enjoyment and high achievement in geography. This forum is highly practical and benefits from the use of facilities and expertise at UWE and from those based in schools.
Essential Information: The first two meetings are held in Q block at UWE and run from 9.00 -12.30. The third meeting is held at S block at UWE and runs from 9.00 to 4.00. Please note that if delegates contact Chris Spencer at UWE on chris.spencer@uwe.ac.uk with car registrations he may be able to provide free parking.

The Special Education Needs (SEN) software in SIMS enables the SENCo to manage the recording of all aspects of the SEN process in accordance with the requirements of the code of practice, building on information already held in SIMS such as pupil addresses, contacts and academic information and also enables the recording of the details of external specialists and organisations. At least a basic level of SIMS knowledge will be required for delegates attending this course and ideally attendance at the SEN in SIMS .net course
