Revised budget visits take place during October and November with submission to Corporate Finance due by 30 November each year. As part of your subscribed service, your SFO prepares and reconciles information to ensure your data is correct and your visit is efficient.

ELSA - Emotional Literacy Support Assistants

The nationally established Emotional Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA) course trains skilled teaching assistants to deliver interventions for emotionally vulnerable pupils. Trainee ELSAs attend 6 full training days and subsequently carry out supervised practice over the course of the year leading to ELSA certification. It is also a pre-requisite that ELSA line managers attend a 1 ½ hour MS Teams twilight session following Day 1 of the course.

In response to requests from a considerable number of schools, we have now revised this so that the statements are fully aligned to the whole curriculum and can be used from 2022 onwards to support writing assessment and moderation. To support teachers, we are running a twilight session to share the rationale behind the criteria and explain how the statements should be used to support accurate assessment. ...
