In order to be competent in maths reasoning is a key skill at all stages of learning. This course will improve
understanding of what is meant by reasoning and will look at ways to embed this in every part of the lesson.
Delegates will come away with ideas and activities to use in the classroom. During the session there will be opportuniites to develop planning for reasoning linked to their year group..

This four day course is a very practical, hands-on introduction to timetabling. It will lead colleagues who are new, or relatively new, through the whole process of timetabling and covers:

• resourcing
• devising the most appropriate curriculum structure and staffing
• getting information from departments
• entering all data into the computer program
• constructing the timetable; analysing and scheduling
• producing printed timetables.

Current school staffing regulations (Keeping Children Safe in Education) require that at least one member of a school interview panel must have completed appropriate safer recruitment training. The session is aimed at individuals who have not previously been formally trained in the subject of Safer Recruitment, and complies with updated DfE statutory safer recruitment guidance for schools. Learning outside the classroom has always been an integral part of a child’s education, providing the opportunity to develop key personal and social skills. The role of an Educational Visits Coordinator (EVC) is to help the school fulfil its Health and Safety obligations for off-site school visits, by being involved in the planning and management of all educational visits.

This one day course supports designated EVCs in carrying out their duties effectively.
 

The course will cover SIMS Reporting to support day-to-day administration reporting procedures. This course is a full day to allow for plenty of time to practise. Please bring along any memory sticks as any reports you design on the day can be taken away with you and imported into your own SIMS system.

This briefing will support all year 2 teachers in statutory assessment for 2020. As part of the session we will look at the feedback  and key messages from 2019 moderation, mapping with the  maths, writing and reading curriculum as well as sharing resources. 

This 1 day course is for staff who may lead or train other staff in their setting - focuses on developing good autism provision.

Past exposure to asbestos currently kills around 4,500 people a year in GB.
