Ladder & Steps and Working at Height
For school staff who work at height using ladders and step ladders in the workplace. It will provide an overview of relevant health and safety law, including employers and employees responsibilities and look at the safe use, inspection, storage and maintenance of equipment. You will conduct a risk assessment, do some practical work and look at the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). At the end of the session there will be a test paper, time for questions and a review of the day. A certificate will be awarded which will be valid for 5 years. Lunch and tea/coffee will be provided.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (including hard hat, safety boots,
waterproof clothing and gloves).
If delegates do not bring their PPE they may not be able to
complete the training for health & safety reasons.
