School Visit Leader Training
This course is aimed at School Visit Leaders who may wish to take groups of youngsters out of school but lack the confidence or knowledge to do so. It will cover the legal side of responsibility, the understanding of assessing and managing risk away from the school environment as well as practical tips on dealing with potential problems. The morning session will be classroom based with an outdoor activity in the afternoon. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
Essential Information: Please bring suitable clothing and footwear for the practical sessions. We will be outside after lunch regardless of the weather conditions. It may also be muddy underfoot in places. This course will lead to a one day Validation Certificate for Educational Visits. Please come with suitable outdoor clothing including suitable walking boots or Wellingtons. Please note that candidates who are not able to attend will be charged the full amount unless notification is received at least two weeks prior to the course taking place.
