SIMS Top Tips and Techniques Primary
This course aims to help administrative staff get the most from their SIMS system in terms of productivity and efficiency. We will look at maintaining a tidy database by removing duplicates. Also covered will be methods of internal communication within SIMS, creation of tailored User Defined Fields as well as other time-saving hints like setting up shortcuts within SIMS .net.

Assessment Manager - Essential Skills
This course is for new users of assessment at secondary phase settings, particularly colleagues who have a role translating the ideas of the school's Data Manager into reality, using Assessment Manager. This course is all about putting policy into action. It will cover all the essential skills in the use of the software and does not dwell on school assessment strategy.
This course extends over 2 days, a month apart.

Switch On Reading

Switch-on is designed to achieve functional literacy for as many pupils as possible, and so to close the reading achievement gap for vulnerable children and young people working below age-expected levels in KS 1, 2 and 3.

Inspired by Reading Recovery, Switch-on is a Teaching Assistant led personalised approach.

It alternates 20 minute reading and writing sessions.
