AET Early Years Programme - Good autism practice

This training has been designed to support all practitioners working directly with children on the autism spectrum to develop their practice.

The training will support practitioners working directly with children on the autism spectrum or on the pathway to a diagnosis in early years settings.

Getting part time teachers' pay right


The approach changed back in 2008 which gave clear guidance on how a part time teachers’ pay should be
calculated. STPCD recognised that all schools’ timetables are different and determined that a part time teachers’ pay should be calculated proportionately in relation to the teaching time of a full time teacher in the same school.

Reading Conference - Creating Riveted Readers: Inspiring a Reading Culture

With the importance and value of reading for pleasure currently high on the national agenda, this conference aims to explore how we can create a culture of reading within and beyond schools. It will focus on how we can support children to become life-long, motivated readers, equipped with both the skills they need to access the curriculum and a passion for and love of reading. Delegates will have the opportunity to listen to experts in the field; explore interesting teaching approaches; consider how others have successfully made their schools reading schools and reflect on research.
