Current school staffing regulations (Keeping Children Safe in Education) require that at least one member of a school interview panel must have completed appropriate safer recruitment training. The session offered complies with updated DfE safer recruitment guidance for schools.

Assessment at KS4 in SIMS (EVENT FULL)
In response to the rapid changes occurring in national assessment initiatives, Capita SIMS has provided a suite of additional Key Stage 4 (KS4) resources which may be imported and used to calculate headline figures for internal assessments. The resources will also enable schools to identify students who are underachieving in any of the key groups.
Essential Information: Please restrict attendees to a maximum of two from your school. Some schools may need to share a workstation on the day. We will start promptly at 9:00 and expect the course to end around 13:00. No lunch will be provided. This event is free to attend, for the first delegate attending from settings that subscribe to the IMS team's support service. There is a charge for any additional delegate attending the same event. Understanding and Working with Pupils with Sensory Needs

Claire Phillips, Special Needs Adviser at Integra Schools will deliver this two part course for SENCos, teachers and TAs to support their understanding and work with pupils with sensory needs. All pupils with autism have sensory needs and some other pupils without autism may also have sensory sensitivities.

Participants will leave with the skills and resources to analyse pupils sensory needs, create a sensory profile and develop sensory strategies that can be used throughout the school day and at home – sometimes called a ‘sensory diet’.
