This briefing is being run early in the academic year in an attempt to support Headteachers in making appropriate provision for moderation in 2017-2018. Advisers will share feedback from the 2017 process, highlight the possible implications and action points arising from this and discuss the various support that is available.

A regular opportunity to revise your understanding of safeguarding and child protection is essential. This training will ensure that you know what you need to know about safeguarding children, and how to take any necessary action. All cases are different but this course will help you to feel confident that you know how to respond in line with school and safeguarding policy.

Course Structure:

• The two day face-to-face preparation course explains the HLTA standards and the HLTA assessment process and fully explains how to put together the required portfolio of evidence. Guidance is provided on completing the required written tasks and explains the purpose and the set-up of the 3 hour school visit.
