The nationally established Emotional Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA) course trains skilled teaching assistants to deliver interventions for emotionally vulnerable pupils. Trainee ELSAs attend 6 full training days and subsequently carry out supervised practice over the course of the year leading to ELSA certification. Once again we are fortunate to have Tom Holloway lead the science subject leader network meetings. Tom will support you as a science leader to ensure that you are fully informed on the most up to date national and local research and guidance for the teaching and learning of science. At each meeting there will also be a focus on a core aspect of the science national curriculum.
