Meeting Expectations for Writing in Year 2

Year 2 is always a challenging year, possibly never more so than after the disrupted learning of the last two years. STA have confirmed that statutory assessment and moderation will return in 2022, meaning that a clear understanding of expectations and how to address these will be essential.

Autism Bites - Sensory in autism



This 2 part course takes a look at sensory needs in autism. It is appropriate for any colleague who is interested in autism.

In part 1 we will learn about the eight senses and begin to analyse sensory needs using a questionnaire.

In Part 2 we will return to discuss the questionnaires that you have used to analyse pupil needs and discuss how to develop sensory strategies.

This course is suitable for colleagues working with children and young people aged 5 – 25.

ELSA - Emotional Literacy for Support Assistants (EVENT FULL)

The nationally established Emotional Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA) course trains skilled teaching assistants to deliver interventions for emotionally vulnerable pupils. Trainee ELSAs attend 6 full training days and subsequently carry out supervised practice over the course of the year leading to ELSA certification.
